Whitelist Us
To ensure that you receive our announcements and other communication, we ask that you take a moment to add autosender@surveypool.com and spadmin@surveypool.com to your "safe" or permitted email sender list. This process is also known as "whitelisting". This usually involves simply adding our sending address (From:) to your whitelist, safelist, or list of privileged senders.
Please refer to the following instructions for your email service or spam-filtering software.

ISPs: AOL WebMail, AOL Version 9.0, AOL (older versions), AT&T, Comcast, EarthLink, Gmail, Verizon, Windows Live and MSN Hotmail, Yahoo Mail.

Email Clients: Outlook 2007, Outlook (older versions).

Spam Filters: Norton AntiSpam, McAfee Spamkiller, Cloudmark SpamNet, Mailblocks, MailShield, MailWasher, Oddpost, SpamArrest, SpamAssassin, SpamButcher, Spameater Pro, Spam Inspector, Spam Interceptor, SpamPal, Spam Sleuth.

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow to the right of "Mail Options", then click on "Address Book".
  2. Click on "Add Contact".
  3. Type autosender@surveypool.com in the "Screen Name" block
  4. Click the "Save" button.
  5. Do the same for spadmin@surveypool.com.

AOL Version 9.0

  1. Open your latest  e-mail from us.
  2. Click the "Add Address" button (on the right) to add to your "People I Know" list.

Alternatively, you can just send an e-mails to your-email@your-domain.com and that will add us to your "People I Know" list automatically. To do this:
 

  1. Open your latest  e-mail from us.
  2. Click the "Reply" button (it's in the top right corner).
    A new email window opens with the wrong address in the "Send To" box.
  3. Replace the address in the Send To box with: your-email@your-domain.com
  4. Click Send Now (in the top right corner).

Even if the e-mail you send doesn't get through to us, the act of sending
it does the job of putting us into your "People I Know" list.

AOL (older versions)

  2. Select the screen name we are sending correspondence to.
  3. Click "Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name".

  1. Open the email message from the sender you want to add to your address book.
  2. Click on the "Save Address" link (below) next to the "From Address".
  3. Check the "Add to Contacts" box (below) and click "Save".

  2. For the field titled First Name, please enter SurveyPool
  3. Then click "Save Entry" and you're all done.

Earthlink

If you are not receiving email at Earthlink, there are two actions you can take.

  1. Check "Suspect Email" folder

  2. Add to your address book

With Earthlink, if you have SpamBlocker turned on, suspect messages are automatically send to your Suspect Email folder if the domain is not in your address book.

Suspect Email Folder

  1. While in the "Suspect Email" folder, if you see autosender@surveypool.com or spadmin@surveypool.com...

  2. Select the "Move to Inbox and Add Contact" option from the pull down menu.

Address Book Inclusion

  1. Click on "Address Book".

  2. Click on the "Add" button.

  3. Fill in autosender@surveypool.com as the email address of the sender.

  4. Click the "Save" button.

  5. Do the same for spadmin@surveypool.com.

Gmail

  1. If our email is classified as spam, select the message and click "Not Spam".
  2. To prevent future emails from being marked as spam, click the "Contacts" link on the left side of the page.
  3. Click the "New Contact" button in the top-left corner of the Contact Manager.
  4. In the "Email" field, type autosender@surveypool.com
  5. Do the same for spadmin@surveypool.com.

Windows Live and MSN Hotmail

  1. Open your Hotmail mailbox.
  2. Click "Contacts" in the left menu.
  3. Select "New" in the top menu.
  4. In the "Personal e-mail" field enter autosender@surveypool.com
  5. Click "Save" in the top menu.
  6. Do the same for spadmin@surveypool.com.

Or alternatively...

  1. Go to the  "Options" page.
  2. Under the "Junk E-mail" section, click on "Safe and blocked senders".
  3. Click on "Safe senders".
  4. In the "Sender or domain to mark as safe:" field, type "@surveypool.com"
  5. Click on the "Add to list" button.

If SurveyPool correspondence has been filtered to your "Junk" folder, simply select the email and click on the "Not junk" button.

Verizon

  1. Open your Verizon mailbox.
  2. Click "Options".
  3. Select the "Block Senders" tab (near the top of the screen).
  4. On the "Block Senders" screen you will see both "Block Sender List" and "Safe List". In the space where it says, "Enter e-mail address or sub domain to always accept even if the domain is blocked", enter autosender@surveypool.com
  5. Do the same for spadmin@surveypool.com.
Yahoo Mail

  1. Open your Yahoo mailbox.
  2. Click "Mail Options".
  3. Click "Filters".
  4. Click "Add Filter".
  5. In the top row, labeled "From header:", make sure "contains" is selected in the pull-down menu.
  6. Click in the textbox next to that menu, then enter autosender@surveypool.com
  7. At the bottom, where it says "Move the message to:", select "Inbox" from the pull-down menu.
  8. Click the "Add Filter" button again.
  9. Do the same for spadmin@surveypool.com.

If SurveyPool correspondence has been filtered to your "bulk" folder, simply open the message and click on the "This is not Spam" link next to the "From" field.

Outlook 2007

  2. From the "Preferences" tab, click the "Junk Email" button.
  3. Click the "Safe Senders" tab.
  4. Add autosender@surveypool.com to your safe senders list.

If SurveyPool correspondence is filtered, from the spambox, click on the white "W" icon on the left column of the mailing. When the pop-up window comes up, simply click the "Add to Whitelist" button.

Alternative whitelisting methods:

  1. Click on the White List button.
  2. Add: autosender@surveypool.com to the bottom of your existing list.
  3. Click the Submit List button.
  1. Click the Subject White List button.
  2. Add: [get it] to the bottom of the list on a line by itself.

  4. Make sure 'Accept Mail From This Address' is selected under Receiving Options.

If SurveyPool correspondence is being filtered, try adding autosender@surveypool.com and spadmin@surveypool.com to your Address Book or Contact list.

If messages continue to be sent to your junk folder contact your ISP or spam filter application support and ask how to whitelist autosender@surveypool.com and spadmin@surveypool.com.
